The Summer School on Optics and Photonics, held on 27–29 August at the Faculty of Physics of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv on the basis of the Centre for Microscopy and Laser Spectroscopy, has come to a close. The school programme covered biooptics, spectroscopy, semiconductor materials and modern microscopy methods.
Participants from KNU and other universities took part in workshops and interactive experiments and had the chance to socialise informally and get to know the faculty’s student community.
The school was funded by a grant for the research and technology project “Building an innovation ecosystem of KNU for the creation of advanced optical materials”, financed through the European Union’s external assistance instrument for the fulfilment of Ukraine’s commitments under the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 (project leader Ganna Tolstanova).
