What the admission score is made of
Three components with different weights. The subject exam decides – it counts three times as much as each of the others, and that is the one worth preparing for seriously. There is also a threshold: you must score at least 100 points in the subject exam, otherwise the other results no longer count.

The subject exam covers optics and general physics. The faculty approves the exam programme every year; write to us and we will send the current one along with advice on what to revise.
The admission sequence
- Register an applicant accountFrom 1 July at vstup.edbo.gov.ua. Documents are uploaded there too
- Submit the applicationRegistration of master’s applications for 2026 opened on 7 July
- Take the examsThe main period is 28 July – 7 August: the unified entrance exam and the subject exam
- Receive the recommendationIn your applicant account, by 25 August
- Meet the enrolment requirementsConfirm your intention to study with a digital signature, submit the originals, sign the agreement
- Enrolment3 September 2026

Which documents you will need
The same as for the bachelor’s, except that instead of the school certificate you need the bachelor’s diploma with its supplement: an identity document, taxpayer number, a military registration document for those liable for service, four 3×4 cm photographs and documents confirming special admission conditions, if applicable. Most data is entered in the applicant account; you bring the originals after the recommendation. The definitive list is in the current year’s Admission Rules.
